Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has been featured in numerous television programs. Her family was from Northern Virginia, and is the middle daughter from two siblings. She is the middle of with two brothers and sisters, and was raised within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her career in television by appearing in a number of National Commercials. Ghanizada received an award for her performance as Chiara who was the lead character of Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. Her TV guest-starring performances comprise How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Her most recent roles include the role of a supporting character in Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). In 2008, Ghanizada was added to the cast of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. In the second season of Nightshift she played holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra.
