Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine years old, Collins's capacity to speak two languages has allowed her to get a job in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta had just graduated high school, however she knew her plans for what she would be doing. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the university. The university offered her an academic major. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became her friend. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
